The Deerwood area offers many ways to cool off during the hot months of summer. The most obvious is the river. Boating, water skiing, fishing, or any other water activities are always a stones throw away. The cabins are located about 100 feet from the river and the nearest boat access is only one mile away. There is plenty of room to park your boat or you can leave it in the water in front of the cabins.

Big River State Forest is located right down the road from the cabins. The state Forest offers miles of trails through cool pines. Bring your hiking boots, or your mountain bike and plenty of adventurous spirit so you can explore Big River State Forest.
